Flycatcher Family - 14.5 x 38.5"

I’d never seen a Leaden Flycatcher in person until recently, when I was lucky enough to have them nesting at our local park. I quickly became familiar with their call to know when they were about, especially when it came to hearing the male defending their nest. This is the moment I chose to depict in paint as he nearly always struck the same pose.  It was so special to be able to take my two young boys to check on the two chicks in this little feathered family, and we all hope they return next year.
