This artwork is part of a set of two paintings of the same size. I painted this guy's partner as well! 

I have a few different pairs of King Parrots that visit my yard, and it's lovely to see them bring their young ones along too at certain times. I've learned each of their personalities. This particular male is very bold, and will land on the fence outside our back door, calling out until I notice he's there. He's clearly conned everyone around into believing that he is absolutely never, ever fed.
