This artwork is part of a set of two paintings of the same size. I painted this adult bird's youngster as well!

Pied Butcherbirds are one of my favourite birds, and the young ones have this gorgeous brown colouring before they get their straight black and white adult plumage. I'm sure you can guess where they get their name from, with that hook on the end of their beak!
